Skip Hop Moonlight & Melodies Nightlight Soothers Adapter Recall Information – September 28, 2017

Since our founding, Skip Hop’s operations have been guided by a strong commitment to producing quality products. As such, our products are rigorously tested to ensure we provide our consumers with safe products to make their jobs as parents easier.

After recently receiving feedback from a small number of parents, we discovered the UL-certified USB wall adapter to the owl and elephant models of our Moonlight & Melodies Nightlight Soothers could pose a potential safety risk if part of the adapter fragments when unplugged from the wall. This is an isolated issue which only affects the USB wall adapter, not one-piece cord adapters.

Working closely with the CPSC, we have issued a voluntary product recall on the adapter for the owl and elephant models of our Moonlight & Melodies Nightlight Soothers sold between July 2016 and August 2017 (with USB wall adapter) in the following countries: United States, Canada, Aruba, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay. One-piece cord adapters are not included.

We are encouraging consumers who purchased this product to immediately stop using the product until they receive their free replacement adapter. If cover breaks or separates when attempting to unplug, avoid contact with any exposed parts and turn off power before continuing to remove from wall outlet.
